[UPDATED] Terminal Coming to Modern Warfare 3 as Free DLC Map Confirmed
[UPDATE 23/6] Mark Rubin took to Twitter again today and 100% confirmed that Terminal is definitely coming to Modern Warfare 3: “Terminal is coming back, not sure about any others”, he said. He also gave hope to the idea of getting weapon DLC for Modern Warfare 3 by saying “weapon DLC is uncertain”, but quickly put a dampener on the notion by following up with “I’m not sure if we can”. Lets hope they can get it done.
Now we know that Terminal is coming for sure, it’s just a case of when it’s going to be released. Keep an eye on BlackOpsBlog and we’ll let you know ASAP.
[Original Story] How would you like Modern Warfare 2‘s multiplayer map Terminal as DLC for Modern Warfare 3? How about if that DLC was for free? Sounds good, right? Well, it looks like that may become a reality. According to Infinity Ward’s Mark Rubin, if deployment details can be finalized, Terminal is coming to Modern Warfare 3.
Executive Producer, Rubin, went on Twitter recently when rumors started cirulating after a file for multiplayer map Terminal was found within PlayStation 3′s patch 1.15 for Modern Warfare 3. He said that the possibility of bringing Terminal to Modern Warfare 3 as DLC was being looked into and that’s why the file was there.
Things got a bit more official when Rubin took to Twitter again earlier today to answer some more of the communities questions. When the “is Terminal coming to Modern Warfare 3?” question got brought up again Rubin said: “Don’t have a firm eta yet, probably soon. Will be looking at it next week to finalize it’s deployment. And yes it will be free”.
Not only was that confirmation from the horse’s mouth that Modern Warfare 3 will be getting Terminal “probably soon”, but also it also revealed that if /when Terminal arrives it will be for free to everyone. Not quite believing what they had seen, people began to question if that Tweet was hard confirmation that Terminal was coming to Modern Warfare 3. Rubin responded: “Mostly confirming. It’s possible we run into issues with deployment. But seems likely we’ll be able to release it.”
So there you have it. It’s looking likely that Modern Warfare 3 will be getting Modern Warfare 2′s multiplayer map Terminal as a free download in the near-future. How does that grab you? If you could choose one map to get for free from a past game would it be Terminal, or another map?

I agree, I’d love to see Terminal back in mw3. I also like to see favela & highrise, And I suggest that “Rust” from mw2 MP map back in mw3 as a face-off map.
