Modern Warfare 3 Title Update 23 Adds Fixes for Lag
A new Modern Warfare 3 update has gone live today for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Title update 23 (PC patch 1.18) is focused on cutting down lag / latency in the game, no doubt to the delight of those struggling with lag. Among the small list of changes is one focused specifically on Domination, which gets new networking code improvements, with the same coming to other playlists soon.
Here are the specifics:
Title Update 23 (Xbox & PS3)
- Significantly reduced lag spikes caused when someone joined a match in progress.
- Added more matchmaking/performance telemetry to allow us to optimize our backend servers
- New networking code improvements to be initially rolled out in the Domination playlist October 10th, mid-morning with more playlists to come
Patch 1.18 (PC)
- Support for Collection 4
- Significantly reduced lag spikes caused when someone joined a match in progress.

This is bollocks!!!! I’ve some how gone from good connections all the time to bad connections with lots of lag on ground war, I have good Internet and gd band width to play but now since the update I am struggling to get a good connection. Wtf is going on!!!
