Modern Warfare 3 Prestige Rewards / Shop
One of the ways that Modern Warfare 3 improves on previous Call of Duty games is when it comes to Prestige Rewards. After you reach the end of the 80th level and hit the Prestige button – Modern Warfare 3 has 10 Prestige levels – you get taken to a Prestige Shop with eight different rewards to choose from. With each new Prestige you get a Prestige Token to spend in the Prestige Shop on whatever you wish. Of course, you still get your new Prestige Icon for “free”. Check out your options below.

I feel like I want to know how it works with more specifics. Double XP? Does that last for a day? The entire next prestige? What exactly does ‘challenges 1′ mean? Or ‘unlock gear’? Sure we get the concept, but I don’t fully understand the rewards.

2 hours game time is not very little. With double exp I can prestige again in one hour. You guys must really be bad at the game of you think 2 full hours isn’t enough time to prestige again.

I for one am somewhat happy this is a feature IDK about you but my kd is always sucky at the lower prestige’s because I am grinding for pro perks, weapon camo etc but when I reach the highest I always bring them up a bit because I dont have to worry about doing things I know will get me killed (hardened pro, flak jacket pro) but by that time the damage is already done and since I have so many kills it literally have to get 100= games back to back to increase it. Once I reach the final prestige I will be buying that reward for sure.

reseting k/d, w/l will just make those stats even more pointless, not sure why people care about them like they do anything, other than known i have a 2.80 what does it do? cause i have seen 1.10kd players go 30-2 in tdm, and if you play dom and play the objective youre not going to have a super high kdr

For me its kind of my motivation to keep playing and doing well once I reach the highest prestige, just like a lot of people in black ops try to have a good score per minute for the week, they are pointless stats but matter to some.

Once you purchase one you cant purchase it again. so if you choose double xp the first time you prestige then you will not be able to purchase it any of the other times. you keep the item the entire prestige until your next prestige. also, if you choose not to use your token you can carry it over to the next. so basically if you decided to wait you could technically use them all on your last prestige. all though what would the fun in that be.

This is not correct based on the new information fourzerotwo has released via his Tweets. The double xp and double weapon xp last for 2 hours and you can purchase them again as soon as the previous one you purchased has run out. I haven’t seen this specifically, but I’m sure you can purchase the extra custom class multiple times (presumably up to 5 times) so you can get 10 custom classes like in previous games.
The part about carrying tokens forward is correct though.

My buddy and I were talking and thought that maybe “Reset All Stats” means either going back to the beginning of all the prestiges or going back atleast one prestige. We thought that would kind of be a cool idea simply because I hate when I get to 10th prestige and unlock everything then have nothing at all to do afterwards. Maybe they could put like a little symbol by your gamertag to show that you’ve gone through all the prestiges once.
Anyone else think that’s a decent idea?

It makes absolutely no sense! “Reset All Stats” means what it says: Reset All Stats! Otherwise it would have been called “De-ranking” because when you prestige, you rank up even you restart to 0.

Reset All Stats in my mind is going back to first prestige level one but still having the titles/callsigns and if in the first 10 prestiges you used the ‘unlock gear’ option with your tokens then these will all carry over too. Resetting all stats resets you to Level 1, Non Prestige..You cannot just whiz back to a specific Prestige..
Also if you unlock a perk, it takes away the ‘Pro’ just like unlocking a gun resets all Attatchments and Camo’s,
But when you reset stats, you DO keep your score on the leaderboards, only your current rank/KD/WinLoss is reset, so that’s awesome!

This game is really great and is the best (imo) so far. My only hang up is why work all the way up to level 10 prestige to reset? Why not offer new gear or more attachments or maybe even let our guy carry a few extra grenades. Also, the Dorito and mountain Dew thing did not pan out with me. I go out a buy case of Dew and bag of doritos and I got squat. I will have to wait a month before getting, maybe getting, one coin? Is there an easier way to get the coins that I have missed?
