there should be an option where you can change your weapons fire rate like instead of having the M16 a 3 round burst have the option to make it single shot or fully automatic cause games like rainbow six have this option and it does make a big difference (in a good way)

depends on wich M16 that is, there’s the M16, M16A1, M16A2, M16A3, they all do different things.
same as the M4, burst, M4A1 full auto, and so on

Actually the m16 is almost never fired in full auto seeing as how the m16a2 and m16a4 are the most issued m16s and they dont offer a full auto

i prefer to have ready my gear earlier than have this “sense of achievement” you are babbling around with. wasting my time only on a gun to unlock all attachments and all profeciencies is the most stupid idea i have seen, Treyarch made it better and still you are bitching about it…its not the same as it was in COD4 where you had 5 attachments max! wake up you asshole!!!

All I know is they better make the Vector more powerful than it was in MW2. A Vector in real life fires a .45 round and the gun is constructed using a technology called super V (hence the name vector) where the recoil is directed towards the center of the gun, keeping the muzzle down and on target, vs. conventional guns which direct the recoil to the shoulder, causing more muzzle climb. I was so stoked when MW2 announced they had the vector, and I was so disappointed when I saw the guns stats. The fire rate was spot on, but the damage was so low compared to the MP5 (which shoots a 9mm round) and the UMP45 which also shoots a 45 cal round. The vector is one of the most advanced SMGs on the planet as it is spot on accurate for its size and fire rate, and shoots a bigger more powerful round than most guns in the SMG class.
Sorry to rant, but MW2 had this guns stats all wrong. I hope they fix it this time as it should be the most powerful SMG in the game.

I agree with you… Mostly. If it was the most powerful SMG, had low recoil, AND a high rate of fire, no other weapon would be used. IW probably did that to ‘balance the guns’

what about the RPD big ass gun with next to no recoil dont get me wrong m60 or lsw will do the job but the rpd was good for support fire. as part of a team of 5 me and my friends play search and destroy me being usually the support gunner/air support destroyer, im excited for the new guns just gonna miss the rpd october hurry up!!!!

I want the AUG ingame, NOT as an LMG, it should be an AR, like in black ops. And with an attachement (in Black Ops it was the ACOG) it turns from HBAR into the original AUG A1.

I hope that the LMG class is more like MW2 than Black Ops. Black Ops LMGs were simply Assault Rifles that made you move slow. 30 round clips? What? No.
Bring back the 100 round clips and the slow movement and no damage fall off. Make the LMGs feel like LMGs.

What I would like to see is the SA-80/L85A2, maybe it’s just because I’m a Brit, but it would be really cool to see, I don’t care if no-one uses it, I just think it would be nice to see because not many games seem to have it.

the only reason the didnt add sa80 was its based in future war between america and russia only brits are sas and the dont like the sa80 they actually sayd it was a heavily accuarate gun plagued with a lot of problems so the use canadian diamco’s basically canadian version of m16 and m4 that can withstand extreme tempratures of hot and cold ..
ohhh and also british army are thinkin about changing for the h&K M416

I dont know why people have to b!tch and complain about it. No one will ever make a game that every one person likes. Before black ops i fell in love with MW2s system and it was the 1st online game that i owned (not played) and then when i was looking into what black ops was revealing (like mw3 is doing now) i thought the game was going to be near perfection but stepping into the ops circle i knew after a week that this game was way over hyped. Even after almost a year this game still just irritates me. I play search and destroy probably 7/8ths of the time but and have a kdr of 2.06 and im not implying that im good. But this game cant even keep up with a high sensitvity, you see an enemy and start shooting and you know for the life of you that your sights were right on the foe but some how they can move and spin around and just take you out with not even luck , just bullsh!t. Anyone notice how when youre trying to shoot someone and again you know you should be hitting them, but 1-the bullets are not even registering and 2- when the enemy is moving to tbe side its like they are litterally sliding on ice controllably, like taking two steps in one step. I dont know i have a lot to complain about black ops, but in anycase, whether your a camper just trying to stay alive or a rusher trying to get the highest amount of kills or a sniper trying to quicksnipe (i know its quick scope but you are a sniper and if you look through your scope hold your breath and kill someone, well id say you just sniped someone, not hard scope, those are stupid terms in my opinion) and get a cool killcam. MW3 should be a fun FI_ICKING game and if you are complaining about not getting what you want then just move on to the next thing or go back to a time where you liked what you had. The online gaming society is ignorant, no one (rarely) says good game or nice kill, they just bitch at how your a camper if you killed them standing still or if you accually sniped so.eone then your a hardscoper. “A4″ “A1″ do not mean its military they are different variants of the M16 the A1 was before the A2 the A2 before A3 and A3 before A4. A1 and A3 are full auto/semi. A2 and A4 are burst/semi. the only thing close to a civilian M16 is an AR-15.

For everyone that is complaining about the snipers; if you actually watch ‘MW3 menu’ videos on youtube and stuff, you will see what the snipers look like. I think there are 2-3 bolt action sniper rifles, one of them is pretty much exactly like the intervention (just different name), and another bolt action is pretty much exactly like the L96 from black ops (just different name). So you will be having the 2 best snipers from both latest CoD, along with other great, different snipers.

Exactly! There’s 2 Bolt Action rifles for all you quickscoperzzzzzz out there. Just please only QS if you actually know how to do it instead of ruining your teams chances of winning S&D by doing hopeless 360 spins just to get capped.
I’m only into the snipers for what they were originally designed for though. Hardscoping as it’s called now.

this game would be the best lol since they are puting the G36 in and already have the M4A1 M16A4 and SCAR-L they should include the SCAR-H also, more recoil and less accuracy but on a close quarters map you will be layin em out

Some of these weapons look way too much like the ones we saw in the last Modern Warfare. What I’d like to see is some more variety and uniqueness within the weapons we’re given to choose from. For example, simply via I’m a Brit and its an awesome weapon, I’d like to see the L85A2 assault rifle thrown in as opposed to the L86 LSW for an ‘LMG’. There are some more unique and under rated weapons out there that would refresh this game and give us back that feeling we had with CoD 4 and MW2 but this doesn’t mean get rid of the classics like the AK-47 and RPG!

it’s great that they keeped the stakeout, in my opinion that was the only good shotgun there, also i think they should have keeped the python because many cod players loved it and it was an easy weapon to mess around with.
why do so many people think the famas is a noob weapon?
if you ask me its great! for lvl14 its just the gun you need to get you ranking up, and your all probably dising it because you got ownd with it millions of times.
can’t wait to see what all the other weapons are like in MW3, and glade to see they keeped in the AK-47 because if thay have had taken it out, i think the rates would have droped.

Just a thought, for a game that focuses on a war between Russia and America, there doesn’t seem to be too many Russian guns in the entire game…I counted 3. I thought the game is called “Modern Warfare.” The Russians haven’t used the AK-47 since 1974, when the AK-74 came out. Since then, there have been so many guns in creation and use…Someone’s been forgetting to do some research.
