June’s Modern Warfare 3 Content Drops Include 3 New Face Off Maps, 1 Spec Ops

The next four Modern Warfare 3 content drops have been announced for premium Elite members on Xbox.
Released tomorrow, June 19, content drops 13-15 includes three multiplayer maps for the new Face Off mode and one Spec Ops mission. This is obviously four drops and not three like “drops 13-15″ (as the official content calender states) would have you assume. Well, that’s because for some crazy reason U-Turn and Vortex count as drop #14!
Now that’s cleared up, here are the map names and official screenshots.

New Achievements for Arctic Recon
- Stay Frosty (15G) – Complete the Arctic Recon Special Ops mission on any difficulty
- Sub Zero (25G) – Complete the Arctic Recon Special Ops mission on Veteran difficulty
- Dr0n3d (35G) – Complete the Arctic Recon Special Ops mission in under 3:30
Infinity Ward’s Mark Rubin Tweeted earlier today to let the community know that the new Face Off mode maps U-Turn, Intersection and Vortex will probably be the last Face Off maps to be released for Modern Warfare 3 in favor of regular maps. I think this is a shame – the new Face Off maps are great, whereas, and this is obviously subjective, the regular multiplayer maps that have been released so far as Modern Warfare 3 DLC have been some of the worst Call of Duty DLC maps to-date.
“I know a lot of people have been loving the Face Off maps and so glad to bring those to you guys. Also I know some people haven’t really gotten into them and would prefer regular MP maps. We didn’t have any maps done in time for this drop, but we do have some coming soon. Also that will probably be the last of the Face Off maps that we make so hope everyone who has been loving them as much as I have enjoy the new ones coming tomorrow.” he said.
PlayStation 3 premium Elite members can expect to receive these content drops around this time next month.

the Face off maps are cool, but on the other hand, they need to make more multiyplayer maps. with better angles for sniping and climbing like they did in Black ops!! all this running around I s drain somtime!!

what ever happen to shipment and rust? i thought they were gonna be face off maps. for the last content drops they should do cod4 and mw2 maps.

Absolute bullshit! Wish I didn’t buy elite because I would have NEVER purchased this garbage. Even though I have Elite, I sure as hell am not downloading this crap! If I wanted to play 1 on 1 then I would set up a private match! They couldn’t have stuck it to the customer any better than this. Instead of doing the right thing and releasing the DLC late, why not just throw garbage out there to download. I wish they didn’t release anything and just extend it another month instead pissing off 95% of their customers!!!

Actually Face Off has been a huge success for them. 95% of their Customers pissed off? Hardly.
Just because YOU don’t like it and have some chip on your shoulder doesn’t mean that EVERYONE hates it. Face Off is great for playing a couple friends especially in private match.
As I look around the internet forums the reception of Face Off has been positive.

Maybe you only like having 1 or 2 people to play against because that’s either the amount of friends you have, you’re a gay camper, or you really blow at cod!? My guess would be all 3 chief!
